James began his insurance career more than 40 years ago as a part-time janitor at a local insurance agency while attending college. Over the course of his career, he has held a wide range of roles, including file clerk, insurance broker, account managing roles, risk manager, and department manager, building a strong foundation of experience across multiple areas of the industry. He has earned the Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designations.
As Loss Control Department Manager, James leads a service area he helped develop into one of MSTIS’s fastest-growing and highly valued offerings. He is known for his thoughtful and trusted approach to risk management, bringing both experience and steady judgment to every client engagement, providing specialized guidance, training, and loss control expertise that help businesses reduce exposures and prevent risk.
